Please Help Us To Reduce Missed Appointments

Dear Patient

We are seeing a significant increase in missed on-the-day appointments at our Practice.

Every on-the-day appointment is specifically authorised by a triage GP based on the information patients provide on their triage form. When an appointment is missed, this valuable clinical time is lost and another patient who needed help is unable to be seen.

Missed appointments have a real impact on the whole practice. They:

• Reduce the number of appointments available each day
• Increase waiting times for other patients
• Put additional pressure on our clinical team
• Delay care for people who may have urgent health needs

If you are no longer able to attend your appointment—even if it is on the same day—please let us know as soon as possible. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient who needs it.
